The Sun Will Rise Tomorrow is a poem written and read by Willie James Johnson in honor of our veterans. This video is courtesy of the City of Bloomington.
I was in high school in Chicago during the late 60's, and in college at Hamline University during the early 70's. I registered for the draft and received a very high number in the lottery, however my younger brother served in Vietnam and remained in the Army for several years afterwards. I was very pleased to be able to write and present the poem in tribute to all who have served and who are serving in our Armed Forces. Thank you!

More is required of us. Now we must march with you, shoulder to shoulder. Even putting our backs into it and lifting you upon our shoulders.
